The Austin Inno ‘25 Under 25’ list is a compilation of the top 25 individuals under the age of 25 who are making a significant impact in the tech industry in Austin, Texas. These individuals are selected based on their innovative ideas, successful startups, and leadership in the tech community. Among the 25 selected in 2022’s edition is Matthew Iommi, co-founder, and CEO of Fetii Incorporated. Iommi was also nominated for the ‘Austin Best CEO’ award earlier this year.
Fetii is an Austin-based rideshare app that transports groups and businesses together on demand. Users can hail a 15-passenger van with the click of a button and pay using a QR check-in system that splits payment at boarding time. Fetii is removing the friction of group transportation. Due to the innovation and disruption brought onto the group transportation market, Fetii is reducing costs, emissions, and congestion. The group rideshare is currently in 3 Texas cities and will be expanding into 4 additional cities at the end of January 2023.
According to Austin Inno, Matthew Iommi continued to build on early success after launching Fetii at Texas A&M. The startup was accepted into the prestigious Y Combinator accelerator program, which also came with $500,000 in fresh funding. It has also raised money from Goodwater Capital, Stonks, and angel investors. Despite Covid-19 headwinds, the company’s 15-passenger vans have now transported more than 700,000 passengers and removed over 130k unnecessary vehicles off the roads due to its platform.
Other honorees selected for the list include University of Texas students, aerospace entrepreneurs, and more. You can see the full Austin Inno ’25 Under 25’ list and read up on the brightest Austin youth here.
