Matthew, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

During my time as a senior at Texas A&M, the concept for Fetii was born out of a personal experience that highlighted a gap in group transportation services. I observed that when groups of people wanted to travel together, they were limited to just two choices, both of which came with significant drawbacks. On one hand, they could reserve a charter vehicle well in advance, which often required booking days or even weeks beforehand. This not only lacked flexibility but also came with the burden of high costs due to hourly minimums associated with such services. On the other hand, groups had the alternative of splitting up and using multiple vehicles, which not only fragmented the group experience but also resulted in inefficiency.

Recognizing this clear need for a better solution, my co-founder and I set out to create something innovative that would address these pain points. We envisioned a platform that would seamlessly bridge the gap between these two suboptimal options. This marked the inception of Fetii – a group rideshare platform that aims to offer convenient, cost-effective, and enjoyable transportation solutions for groups of all sizes. By providing an on-demand option specifically designed for group travel, Fetii was born out of the idea of offering an alternative that values both affordability and a sense of togetherness.

Our goal was to revolutionize the way groups travel, eliminating the need for excessive planning and exorbitant costs. By bringing this idea to life, we aimed to enhance the overall group experience, making transportation a part of the fun and memories created during collective journeys. The journey from identifying this need to creating Fetii was marked by dedication, innovation, and a strong desire to make group travel not just practical, but enjoyable.

My journey into the transportation industry began during my time as a senior at Texas A&M. Witnessing the challenges that groups faced when trying to travel together ignited a passion within me to create a better solution. This drive led to the birth of Fetii, where we set out to redefine group transportation by offering a convenient, affordable, and enjoyable way for groups to travel together.

At Fetii, our primary focus is on providing an innovative group rideshare platform that caters to the needs of various group sizes and occasions. Whether it’s a night out with friends, a corporate event, a wedding, or any other group gathering, Fetii offers a seamless and efficient means of transportation. We address the problems that previously plagued group travel, such as the need for advanced booking, high costs, and the inconvenience of multiple vehicles.

What sets Fetii apart from others in the industry is our commitment to enhancing the overall group experience. We don’t just provide a ride; we create an atmosphere where groups can bond, celebrate, and make memories while on the move. Let’s talk M&A – we’d love to hear your about your experience with buying businesses.

Back during my junior year at A&M, I had the opportunity to acquire a party bus company with my co-founder, which would later play a pivotal role in the evolution of Fetii.

At that time, I saw the potential of the party bus business aligning with my vision for providing unique group transportation experiences. Negotiating the acquisition price and terms involved discussions with the student owner and his older brother. We collaborated to determine a fair price and established a payment plan that worked for both parties.

The acquisition was completed before the inception of Fetii, and little did I know then that it would eventually serve as the foundation for the platform I had in mind. The acquired party bus company evolved and transformed into what is now Fetii – the group rideshare platform.

The acquisition-to-evolution story highlights my early entrepreneurial instincts and strategic thinking. I had recognized the potential of group transportation early on and was able to turn an initial opportunity into a thriving venture that addresses a gap in the market. The experience underscored my ability to not only spot opportunities but also effectively execute and evolve a business concept.

Looking back, I’m proud of how that initial acquisition eventually led to the birth of Fetii. It’s a testament to our determination, adaptability, and commitment to providing innovative solutions in the group transportation industry. The journey from an acquisition to building a pioneering platform like Fetii is a reflection of my entrepreneurial spirit and the belief that with the right vision and determination, opportunities can evolve into something truly exceptional.
