Fetii’s Matthew Iommi Nominated for Best CEO Award From Austin Business Journal

Iommi is recognized for his efforts in building Fetii, the Austin-based tech start-up that facilitates on-demand group ridesharing and helps reduce carbon emissions.

AUSTIN, TX, [Aug 30th, 2022] — Matthew Iommi — Founder and CEO of group rideshare start-up Fetii — is pleased to accept the nomination for the Austin Business Journal’s 2022 Best CEO Awards, presented by American Bank.

Matthew Iommi has led Fetii to a successful and profitable year in operation and won the support of an influential startup accelerator, Y Combinator.

As well as delivering a solution for uncomplicated group travel and providing franchising opportunities for Texas drivers, Iommi is pursuing his core mission of minimizing the number of cars on the road and reducing carbon emissions. To date, Fetii has transported more than 550,000 passengers and prevented more than 130,000 unnecessary individual car journeys.

As a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, Matthew is proud to receive the Austin Business Journal’s recognition of his leadership and innovation.

Fetii is a ridesharing company devoted expressly to group travel. It uses 15-passenger vans, to move people and businesses more conveniently and efficiently than other services, reducing traffic congestion while lowering overall greenhouse gas emissions.

“We found that customers were utilizing the service as a substitute to Uber and Lyft. There wasn’t an efficient solution to transport groups from point A to point B without splitting up the group and taking multiple vehicles, adding to emissions and congestion and an inferior transportation experience,” said Matthew Iommi, Fetii CEO.

The 11th annual awards ceremony will take place at the Fairmont Austin on Thursday, October 6, honoring Central Texas’ leaders across all sectors who have demonstrated outstanding performance and innovation.
